When my family moved into this two bedroom appt in a negative neighborhood we began searching for alarms everywhere. The difficulty is obtaining a wireless alarm system that is efficient and cost-effective. For compact aparments or houses with only a couple of entry points this alarm works wonderful. It came with two speak to alarms which can function on doors or windows, and two motion sensors. My preferred feature is that it comes with two keychain remotes. This way you can set the alarm to your house just like setting a car alarm and no need to have for typing in codes.
System functions well and is simple and easy to install, but is fairly restricted. It comes with two door/window sensors and 2 motion detectors. The manual (page 14) says you can add extra sensors to this technique, but in fact this is not true because neither Swann (nor any third party that I can get) sells additional sensors for this program. (Swann sells other door/window sensors, but they can not be applied with this wireless method.) So if you want to protect more than two doors and windows, you can not. It's tricky to envision a residence with only two doors + windows. Moreover, one of the sensors did not operate when I received it, leaving me with only a single door/window sensor. I recommend choosing your self a different technique with far more capabilities.
